Q.     What is the normal turnaround time for additional insured?s and policies?

A.    About 30-45 days.

Q.     When can I get a policy number? 

A.      When BISA receives your agency?s trust deposit check
          for that insured.

 

Q.     When are policies released?

A.    When the balance is paid in full, the policy will be released.

Q.     When is the policy balance due? 

A.      Twenty (20) days after the effective date of the policy.

Q.     Why is there a $35 reinstatement fee?

A.      It is due to the cost of processing and mailing the Certified Notice of Cancellation to the insured.

Q.     How do I get loss runs?

A.     With a written request from the insured on their company letterhead listing the policy numbers for 
         each carrier.

Q.     How long does it take to get loss runs?

A.      Normal turnaround time is about two weeks.

Q.     How can I get a quote?

A.     Submit the completed BISA application, 4 years loss runs and a copy of your agency?s 
         license (for tax purposes).

Q.     How long does it take to receive a cancellation return premium?

A.     45 days after cancellation date.

Q.     Why do I need to supply a SL Tax ID number? 

A.     In the states of Florida, New Jersey and New York, the carrier mandates a surplus lines 
         tax ID number to be listed on the policy declarations page.

Q.      Do  need to send certificates naming an additional insured with my request form?

A.      No, the BISA Additional Insured Request Form is only needed.

Q.     Do I need to send certificates showing proof of coverage?

A.      No
